On Feb. 26th morning, Science and Technology Awards Conference of 2015 was held at the CPPCC Hall. The Secretary of the Communist Party of China Jiangsu Provincial Committee Luo Zhijun, Provincial Governor Shi Taifeng and the Chairwoman of CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee Zhang Lianzhen attended the award ceremony and presented the prizes to representative winners.
The project “Tumor Biomarkers and Risk Assessment” finished by the team of Professor Shen Hongbing in the School of Public Health and the project “Innovation and Application of Key Diagnosis and Treatment Technology of Pancreatic Cancer” finished by the team of Professor Miao Yi of the First Affiliated Hospital won the first prize of the Science and Technology Award in Jiangsu Province. And the other 9 projects respectively won the second and the third prizes.
At the award ceremony, Professor Shen Hongbing made a speech representing all winners. He expressed gratitude to the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government for their efforts in creating a good academic and social environment for scientific and technological growth and talent cultivation. Besides, Professor Shen stated that he would, together with the other winners and the scientific and technological workers of the whole province, carry forward the pragmatic and innovative spirit of science, and constantly promote scientific and technological progress in the future.
