Three American physicians Visited the Second Affiliated Hospital of NMU

Three American physicians have paid visit to the Second Affiliated Hospital of NMU and its Mu Fushan Community Health Service Center on 16th, September. These family medicine oriented physicians are Dr. Robert Allan Campbell, chief of the Christ Community Health Service Center in Augusta of Georgia, Dr. David Allen Buchanan, chief of Lawndale Christian Community Health Service Center in Chicago and Professor David R. Haburchak from Georgia Regents University.

Their first trip was to the hospital family-medicine (often referred as general practitioner in Chinese practice system) physician Training facility, Clinical Skills Training Center and Outpatient department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of NMU. They have expressed great interest in finding out that the training principles of general practitioner in China has very similar aspects compared to that family-medicine used in US.

Accompanied by hospital administrative officials including the president Dr. Ji Guozhong, and Drs. Wen Hao, Li Yuntao, and Liu Yuanbiao, three American GP also visited Mu Fushan Community Health Service Center. Dr. Robert spoke highly of the Software and hardware facilities of the Community Health Service Center after being introduced the recent progress on the development of the Center by its chief Dr. Gong Piyu.

Further communication between the hospital officials and the guest physicians has reached initial agreement on short exchange programs to physicians from both countries. They also discussed extended collaborations on general practitioner training program in the future.
