Four NMU Disciplines honored in Jiangsu Superior Disciplines Project

Pubdate:2014-05-29

According to the Jiangsu Universities Superior Disciplines Project office, under phase 2 of the project  (Su Politics office publication [2014] No. 37), Nanjing Medical University's Basic Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and Stomatology are all named as superior disciplines that have passed phase 1 evaluations and now receive phase 2 project funding.
In 2010, the Jiangsu Communist Party Committee and provincial government focused on global economic and social development, from there implementing superior discipline development in the province's universities and colleges. Nanjing Medical University's four first-class disciplines were examined and approved in the first phase of the project.  Since the beginning of the project, these four disciplines have been further developed in the areas of resources quality, team development, professional training, scientific research and innovation, meticulous planning and organization, superior design, and task implementation.  There has been significant progress seen in the development of the discipline and in professional training, producing admirable achievements and further guiding economic and social development forward.  The disciplines also improved in qualitative results and thereby raised NMU's academic standards as a whole.  Polishing these disciplines allows the university's community influence to continuously expand and further build its international reputation.
