Nanjing Medical University is celebrating 80 happy years of progress and achievement. On October 10th 2014, NMU students and staff will together commemorate the 80th Anniversary of its Founding,
“Even a tree one thousand feet high has roots; and even a river one thousand kilometres long has a source”. Years ago, when you first walked through the NMU campus with such reverence for life, your dreams found flight in the gentle breeze swirling through NMU. Through NMU tutelage, academic achievements were celebrated and a personality forged. Each one of your achievements makes your alma mater proud, and each of your struggles adds another layer of calibre! For years, you have been supporting the development of NMU while continuing to achieve all kinds of accomplishments. The professional development, discipline development, teaching, scientific research and social welfare that NMU offers are inseparable from all you have given in support and contributions. In this letter I would like to express my sincerest respect for those alumni and alumnae, at home and abroad, who have involved themselves in the continued development of NMU.
Palaces are built by innumerable masons; rivers are made up of countless streams. In the process of NMU becoming a world-renowned medical university of the highest standards, your support has been an indispensable and important strength for your alma mater. How to Donate to NMU on its 80th Anniversary
Ⅰ. Contributions are to be given on a voluntary basis, and there is no limit on the form or amount of contribution. Contributions can be made in the name of individuals, classes, corporations, or Alumni Association.

Ⅲ. The Way of Acknowledgement
According to the donor’s will, on informed consent of the donor, the name of the donor’s work unit, the donor’s name, the item and amount of the donation will be published on NMU Founding Anniversary Website and NMU Founding Anniversary Special Journal, and be recorded in the specially made NMU Founding Anniversary Donation Album, which will be kept perpetually in the History Museum of NMU. Admission tickets of the Ceremony for the 80th Founding Anniversary of NMU will be given to the first 200 donors as gifts. NMU Education Development Foundation has got the qualification of pre-tax cost deduction for public welfare donations. Relevant notes can be provided for enterprise donations.
