On April 23rd, the NMU Education Development Foundation 3rd Session of the 2nd Council was held in Mingde Building on Wutai Campus. The session was attended by Zhang Zhufan and Leng Mingxiang, senior faculty of NMU, Huang Xiaoye, Deputy Director General of the Administration of Social Organizations of the Department of Civil Affairs, Li Kejian, General Manager of Jiangsu Hengrui Medical Company, Wang Changsheng, Vice General Manager of Jiangsu Yadong Qitian Medicine Company, as well as members of the Foundation Board of Supervisors and other council members. Fa Xiaoyan, Secretary-General of the Council and Director of the Development Office, presided over the meeting.
During the session, Fa Xiaoyan gave a report on the Foundation's work throughout 2013. Wang Chunhui, Deputy Director General of the Financial Department, gave the Foundation's financial report for 2013. Fa Xiaoyan then gave a detailed explanation of the brief, evaluation and grading of the Jiangsu Foundation Level Evaluation, which the NMU Foundation subscribes to. Various members explained how the Mingde Hospital Project is being jointly constructed by both NMU and Jiangning District Government, as well as further explicating the joint project with Jiangsu Hongshi Technology Industry Company.and the Nanjing Ninggao Individualized Medical Technology Innovation Center project. The council members and supervisors offered feedback and proposals with regard to the Foundation’s internal management, project development and operations, as well as how to better allow the university to serve the community and carry out further university-enterprise cooperation.
Leng Mingxiang, director of the Board of Supervisors and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee, announced that in recent years, the Foundation’s work had held to a clear path, appropriate measures were already in place, management was satisfactory, and the good effects of these efforts were obvious. He stressed that the Foundation serves as a link for exchange and cooperation between NMU, government departments, and enterprises. It plays an important role in the development of NMU. He urged the Foundation to continue raising NMU’s reputation, expanding NMU’s influence, and attracting funds, so as to ensure explosive development in the future.
Zhang Zhufan, Council Chairman and Vice President of NMU, gave the closing speech. He thanked the council members and supervisors for their comments and proposals on the Foundation’s work, and stated that the Foundation should efficiently work for the people, amplifying its assets of discipline, specialty and talent, so as to carry out better government-industry-university-research cooperation. He hoped all the council members and supervisors would work together with an open mind, to actively explore and boldly break new ground in the Foundation’s work.
