On the afternoon of February 11th, the president of China Pharmaceutical University, Lai Maode, along with six of his colleagues visited our university to promote the exchange of ideas. They were welcomed by members of our university leadership Chen Qi, Zhang Zhufan, Shen Hongbing and heads of departments from the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and the president’s office.
President Chen Qi gave a welcoming speech and briefly introduced how the university has developed in recent years. He raised the hope that the two universities would make use of their advantageous locations to help one another through exchange and collaboration in pharmaceutical research and development, contributions to society and more. Such resource sharing would be a win-win situation. President Lai praised our achievements in the university's development and thanked us for our warm reception. Sha Jiahao, director of the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine, gave a basic introduction to the laboratory, mentioning aspects such as the cultivation of expertise, scientific research, the sourcing of opportunities and the mechanisms of its management system. The two groups then held a discussion, which largely focused on the construction of the State Key Laboratory and the assembly of its team of staff.
After the meeting, president Lai and his colleagues then visited the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine.
