On the afternoon of January 17th, the 2014 spring reception was held in the lecture hall on the 5th floor of the Wutai campus library. University leaders, middle-management, members of democratic parties, retired staff, teachers and students and representatives of our affiliated hospitals were in attendance. It was chaired by deputy secretary and vice president Zhou Yafu.
Party secretary and president, Chen Qi, delivered a warm speech, in which he gave a brief summary of the university’s many achievements in 2013 and expressed sincere New Year’s wishes to the university’s staff on behalf of the university. Professor Ding Jiong from the School of Basic Medical Sciences then gave a speech on behalf of the university’s teachers. Following this, university leaders each came up to the stage to express their New Year’s wishes to the staff, after which everyone watched the short film Chasing Our Dream – The 2013 Chronicles of Nanjing Medical University together.
At the reception, medical staff from various departments and affiliated hospitals, together with retired staff members, presented everyone with some great artistic performances that they had put together themselves.
