Seven-Year-Program Pediatric Students

Goal: to cultivate outstanding clinical pediatric talents with profound natural sciences, fundamental biomedical theory, sound vocational ethics and culture, practical competence and smooth interchange with patients and their family members, innovative and pioneer spirit, and ability or potentiality to be involved with modern scientific competition.

Teaching Plan: one year is spent on liberal education in comprehensive university, three years on specialized education, and three years on internship and secondary discipline study. The last two years, supposed to be clinical graduate phase, are spent in clinical pediatric diagnosis and treatment, and research training, guided by master’s mentors from the Affiliated Nanjing Children’s Hospital. Excellent English ability is expected to meet bilingual class and the CET6 test in undergraduate period.

Four-Year-Program Ophthalmology-Optometry Students

Goal: to cultivate practical ophthalmology-optometry talents with solid special knowledge and natural sciences, medical operation, professional skills, smooth communication, sound ethics and culture, innovative and pioneering spirit, capable of dealing with visional correction, disease prevention, health care, and rehabilitation. 

Curriculum: Physics, Medical Chemistry, Advanced Mathematics, Body Structure, Medical Physiology & Biochemistry, Basic Etiological and Pathological Science of Human Diseases, Basic Clinical Science, Medical Statistics and Epidemiology, Basic Applied Optics, Basic Clinical Optics, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Spectacle Science, Ophthalmology-Optometry Device, Corneal Contact Lens Science, Heterotropia and Amblyopia

Teaching Plan: One year is spent on elementary courses, two years on special courses and one year on internship. BS is attained in the case that course credit hour, national or provincial Level One computer test result, and CET4 or the school-organized qualifying English test result, unanimously meet the requirements.
