Department Teaching & Training
The chemistry department is amongst the oldest departments in NJMU and can be traced back to 1950. There are 2 full professors, 2 associate professors and 12 lecturers in the department. Their research area include medical analysis, medicinal chemistry，physical chemistry，coordination chemistry, and environmental chemistry. The department faculty members are involved in teaching, research and service. We have rich teaching experience and are ranked highly by the online student evaluation. Fundamental chemistry and Analytical chemistry have been listed as the classic courses of the University.
Department Research
Apart from normal teaching responsibilities, the department has also undertaken several research programs financed by National Nature Science Foundation of China and more than 3 research subjects financed by Jiangsu Province. In addition, the teachers of the department have been taking an active part in scientific research, cooperating with pharmaceutical manufacturers actively. Many academic papers have been published, and issued in the journals collected by SCI.
Department Service
The department faculty members provide service at the local, regional and national levels. Many stake on the evaluation of pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence. We also service as consultants for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
