NMU Ranked 16th in China Universities in Nature Publishing Index’2012

Recently, the magazine Publishing Group released a report called "Nature Publishing Index 2012, China", ranking the cities and research institutions in China and Asia Pacific, based on the number of papers published in "Nature" series of publications in 2012.
As shown in the report, in 2012 Nanjing Medical University published 11 papers in the famous international academic journal "Nature" series, a 16th place in Chinese colleges and universities and 20th in the national scientific research institutions. In the institutional ranking of "Nature" series of publications (2008-2012), Nanjing Medical University won the second and fifth places in the "Nature Medicine" and "Nature Genetics" journals.
In 2012, the top 16 Chinese universities were: University of Science and Technology of China, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Fudan University, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Xiamen University, Nanjing University, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (Beijing Union Medical College), Zhongshan University, Shandong University, East China Normal University, and Nanjing Medical University. The top 20 Chinese research institutions are: Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Huada gene, Fudan University, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Xiamen University, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanjing University, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (Beijing Union Medical College), Zhongshan University, Beijing Institute of life sciences, Shandong University, East China Normal University, and Nanjing Medical University.
The Nature Publishing index, as an iconic index, is often used to measure the basic research of high quality. The index is updated weekly, recording the data published over the past 12 months.
