The 2023 Winter International Student Graduation Ceremony Held

On January 4, 2024, Nanjing Medical University celebrated the 2023 Winter Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony for international students at the Zhicheng Building, Jiangning Campus. The event saw the attendance of Vice Presidents Feng Feng and Shen Rulin, along with representatives from relevant departments, schools, hospitals responsible for the clinical teaching of international students, graduate student advisors, undergraduate course teachers for international students, educational service guarantee personnel, alumni, and family member representatives of the winter graduates. Dean Chen Yun of the School of International Education presided over the ceremony.

Vice President Feng Feng, on behalf of the university, extended heartfelt congratulations to the winter graduates on the successful completion of their studies. He expressed pride in the vibrant spirit and resilience demonstrated by the international students and acknowledged their significant contribution to promoting Chinese culture, fostering international friendships, and advancing the global presence of Nanjing Medical University. He encouraged the graduates to shoulder the noble responsibility of safeguarding human health and contributing to the advancement of global medical science.

Professor Wu Di, speaking for the faculty and the School of Public Health, hoped that all graduating international students would always cherish their alma mater. He encouraged them to leverage their experiences, stay committed to their dreams, and contribute tirelessly to the global health and wellness cause.

Alumni representative Dr. Kami, a 2019 doctoral graduate in Stomatology, reflected on his journey of growth and transformation at Nanjing Medical University. He expressed gratitude for the guidance and support from faculty and mentors and urged the new graduates to remain enthusiastic about learning, adhere to the medical practitioners' oath, and forge a splendid future in their next chapter of life.

He Shan, who pursued an undergraduate degree in Clinical Medicine starting in 2016, shared how the university not only imparted medical knowledge but also nurtured the personal growth of its international students. He called upon his fellow graduates to continue pursuing their ideals, preserving their love for medicine, working diligently to achieve personal goals, and safeguarding human health.

Vice President Shen Ruilin awarded graduation certificates to the representatives of the 2023 Winter graduating international students, and the Secretary-General of the Alumni Association, Yu Baolong, presented appointment letters to the alumni liaisons for the class of 2023. The ceremony also recognized outstanding graduates with certificates. In a gesture of gratitude and remembrance, the graduate representatives presented the university a Chinese calligraphy piece entitled “With Nine Decades of Glorious History, Nurturing Talents from All Over the World.” as a gift.

The ceremony concluded with university leaders and the University Degree Evaluation Committee members awarding degrees to all graduates, followed by a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
