NMU hosts sino-foreign Science and Technology Forum for graduate students

On the morning of May 24th, Nanjing Medical University opened the first Science and Technology Forum welcoming both domestic and overseas graduate students. The forum was held in the Jiangning campus library, and attended by university vice-president Shen Hongbing, the various heads of the School of International Education and the Graduate School, as well as supervisors of overseas graduate students, graduate students visiting from Texas A&M University, and NMU's own domestic and overseas graduate students. Chinese graduate student Zhao Chenhui and overseas graduate student Sumedh co-hosted the forum.


The Dean of the School of International Education, Xu Shan, gave an overview of international education development at NMU, and offered appreciation to the graduate student supervisors. International students Felicia Permatasari and Sandeep Kumar Gami, together with Chinese students Song Guixian and Su Shifeng, and Texas A&M University students Benito Moya and Olivia Ekeke, spoke about their research projects, demonstrating their thorough research competencies and potential. During the forum, overseas graduate students expressed their thanks to their supervisors through a specially-produced video. The professors Li Xinli, Luo Dan and Yin Xindao further spoke on the subjects of life goals and research. Shen Hongbin congratulated the organizers on the success of this first Science and Technology Forum, praising the progress made by overseas graduate students under the direction of their supervisors, and elaborating on the important role of the forum in promoting the globalization of graduate student research.


This first Science and Technology Forum served to exhibit the great efforts made in cultivating international graduate education at NMU. The conference re-emphasized the importance of educating overseas graduate students here in Nanjing and played a crucial role in raising the standards of international graduate education.
