NMU Vice President Tours Australian Universities

Between May 5th and 9th, Nanjing Medical University vice president Shen Hongbing led a delegation of the directors of the School of Nursing, the Medical Administration College, the School of Public Health, the School of Foreign Languages, and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office to visit various Australian universities. These included the Queensland University of Technology, the University of Sydney, and the Edith Cowan University, so as to further develop NMU's international network of cooperation in the areas of student learning exchange, staff training and development, and cooperative research.
During the visit to Queensland University of Technology, the QUT vice president Sheppard and directors from the Department of Hygiene and Health, the School of Nursing, the School of Public Health all welcomed the NMU delegation. Vice president Sheppard gave an introduction to the development of Queensland University of Technology, especially focusing on the friendly exchanges between QUT and various Chinese universities. Young, the director of the Department of Hygiene and Health, gave an overview of the department staff and students, scientific research, clinical training, and professional development. NMU vice president Shen Hongbing and the delegation proposed an exchange for those undergraduate majors of Health Care Management, Public Health, Hygiene Inspection and Quarantine, and Medical English, as well as exchanges between related master's courses, and signed an exchange agreement to that effect. The two parties also discussed student exchange, teacher training, and cooperative scientific research. The NMU delegation then visited the QUT Health Clinic, the Science and Engineering Centre, and the Nursing Simulation Diagnosis and Treatment Centre.
During the next visits to the University of Sydney and the Edith Cowan University, the delegation held meetings with senior staff in the medical schools of these universities. NMU vice president Shen Hongbing gave introductions to NMU, and discussed the potential for international cooperation and exchange with these universities, inviting future delegations from Australia to visit NMU for further negotiation.
