The Centre, directed by the principle of “sharing and planning resource, developing discipline through taking people first”, was brought into being by unifying ten labs of the School of Stomatology of Nanjing Medical University in 2000. It was in 2006 that the centre was titled as the Nanjing Medical University Stomatological Teaching& Experiment Centre. One year later, the application to elevate it to Jiangsu Stomatological Teaching& Experiment Centre was approved. In 2009, the inspection was accomplished.
During the 11th Five-Year Plan, huge sums were spent in importing 72 German KAVO artificial-head system, and putting up the centre equipped with computer-control system, teacher-to-student interactive system, evaluation system and real-time monitoring system. Meanwhile, the facility, such as modern oral-craft teaching lab, oral and maxillofacial surgery lab, oral pathology teaching lab and oral teaching model room diversifies the teaching content and improves the teaching quality. The optimized network that can record the scenario in the centre automatically provides a really efficient teaching platform with smooth the teacher-to-student and student-to-student exchange.
The centre has become an open stomatological teaching spot characterized with modern teaching concept, well-equipped teaching labs, scientific teaching mechanism, systematic teaching materials, proportional faculty, experienced management, distinctive character, and special reinforcement from government.
