NMU Center for Hygienic Analysis and Detection Passed GLP Qualification Accreditation of National Pesticide Registration Experiment Units

On September 26, 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China (MOA) announced the first batch of accredited pesticide registration experiment units, including 7 units that are working on toxicological experiments and 2 capable of conducting repeated toxicological tests. The Center for Hygienic Analysis and Detection at NMU met both criteria and is the only university unit that passed the accreditation. So far, the Center has already received the official accreditation notification from MOA.

From June 21 to June 23, experts from MOA conducted a three-day on-site inspection in the NMU Center for Hygienic Analysis and Detection. Dr. Shen Hongbing, President of NMU, and Dr. Hu Zhibin, Vice President of NMU, met with the experts and had in-depth exchange on the issue of positioning and development of the Center under the new situation.

With more stringent and normative inspection content and procedure, this accreditation was the first round comprehensive inspection after promoting pesticide registration experiment units to be transferred from general qualification management to GLP qualification, conducted by the national administrative department in accordance with the Administrative Permission Law and Regulations on Pesticide Administration, and according to the requirements of GLP.

The announcement of the accreditation results can be found at http://www.moa.gov.cn/xw/bmdt/201809/t20180926_6159008.htm
