Symposium on Medical Textbooks for Higher Education & the Annual Expert Consultation Conference of People's Medical Publishing House was held in Beijing Conference Center on November 3, 2018. It was sponsored by Medical Education Committee of China Association of Higher Education and People's Medical Publishing House Co., LTD (PMPH). Wang Lin, Vice President of Nanjing Medical University, and other four experts were invited to the conference. Gao Xingya, Director of Department of Teaching Affairs, made a report on “Construction and Application of ESP (Extra Sensual Perception)”. Nanjing Medical University was awarded the Best Organization prize in the First PMPH-sponsored MOOC (massive open online course) Competition. A total of 24 works won various prizes, including 2 first prizes and 3 second prizes in Bachelor group, as well as 2 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 7 third prizes in mini-lecture group.
All the participants deeply discussed such issues as comprehensive reform of Chinese medical education, Internet + Healthcare and Internet + Publication. We need to make steady efforts to implement the important strategies of accelerating the education modernization, building a Healthy China and developing an advanced socialist culture, thus promoting the overall development of healthcare, medical education and medical culture.
Recent years have witnessed the deepening integration of information technology and medical education, and the ongoing reform of curriculum, teaching methodology and study mode. NMU actively participated in all kinds of online course competitions to show our education quality and teaching style, so as to achieve an overall improvement of medical education.
