The meeting was hosted by vice-president of the School of Basic Medicine, the executive vice chairman of the Teaching Committee, professor Su Chuan. The president of the School of Basic Medicine, chairman of the Teaching Committee, professor Han Xiao and all committee members attended the meeting. At the meeting, participants extensively discussed the training programs of the 5 undergraduate majors which include the former 3 majors——biomedical engineering, biotechnology and forensic, and 2 newly-added majors——bioinformatics and basic medicine. The discussions were mainly focused on modifying and improving the curriculum and module settings, and teaching contents and hours, according to the social demand, enrollment and employment situation, subject knowledge and emphasis as well as teaching ideas and methods of each major. Thus, these reasonable suggestion would be useful for revising the training programs of the above five majors.
