Our School Held the 2013 New Year’s Concert——the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of NJMU’s Orchestra

At 6.30 p.m., December 28th, 2012, the 2013 New Year’s Concert and the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of NJMU’s Orchestra held at the JiangNing campus stadium. School leaders Chen Qi, Zhou Yafu, Zhang Zhufan, Wang Ruixin, and Lu Xiang viewed the concert. In addition, nearly 3,000 audiences, including school distinguished professor, middle-level cadres, the Communist Youth League cadres, teachers and students, also gathered on the spot to enjoy the music feast and greet the New Year.
The concert began with the Ode to Flagwhich was performed by our school Orchestra, college students' art troupe chorus and the dance troupe. The chorus was full of power and passion. It showed us great achievements that have been acquired since the founding of China and expressed deep feelings to the motherland and the people.
Subsequently, the Orchestra’s members showed us warm and lyrical Wind Ensemble friends for life, the exotic African Symphony, the Wu Sheng Shen Yun of national style and the enthusiastic Carnival of Roses. The wind band brought the brass five quartets I 'm Getting Sentimental Over Youand college students Art Troupe Orchestra performed the strings Xin Chun Le. Both of them added a special feeling for the concert. The National Orchestra performed the music, called Mo Li Fen Fang which played by Chinese zither. An Ethnic music Tai Hu Fan Zhou accompanied with dance and the warmest music Qi Dian Xu Qu gave us an exciting and rewarding experience. Finally, the concert was crowned by a drum music called Long Teng Hu Yue. And it ended in a chorus Zou Xiang Fu Xing. The whole school enjoyed the musics of all time, tasted the joy of harvest, felt the happy of the new year, and looked forward a better future!
The new year’s concert coincides with the college students' art troupe of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing Medical University student Orchestra’s 10th anniversary. Over the past ten years, all the five terms of members are united together, hard and diligently. They try best to learn medical knowledge, at the same time they insist on improving artistic culture. They are the disseminators of fine arts, possessors of art education, and the promoters of campus culture. They show us their youthfulness and elegance to the province, to the whole country and even the whole world!
